Hello. My name is Mindy. Welcome to my new blog.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but you have no idea how many bald spots I have gotten over the past few months. I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how my new Mac and my old blog could be friends. I didn't think I was asking too much, but alas, I took a deep breath today and decided it was time to break up with Blogspot.
I've had my eye on TypePad for some time now, and granted, our relationship is new and still in that giddy, excited phase, but boy am I smitten. TypePad accepted me (and my pictures) with such ease and comfort that I was actually a little startled. Could it all be too good to be true? Now I am left to ask myself, why didn't I make the switch sooner? I'll gladly pay the minimal monthly fee for this new relationship to work. I guess the best things in life aren't ALWAYS free.
I'm happy to be getting back on the blogmobile. I've really missed it. Yesterday I spent a few hours printing out most of my blog pages from blogspot (I know there are services out there that make nice books and such, so send on any info if you've had success in that dept.), but I decided to print them anyway because I wanted to have my posts and all of your comments on record. I hadn't read some of my older posts in months and I really had forgotten about all the details. Plus, your comments have honestly been some of the highlights of my blogging experience. I found myself laughing out loud several times at the things you had said. Thank you.
But no pressure. Seriously. I personally don't make comments as often as I should, so I certainly don't expect you to, either. Along those lines, I have learned that it is not a good idea to make any huge promises about the content or frequency of my blog posts - I hate it when I set myself up for disappointment and/or guilt - but feel free to check back now and again for pics and tidbits...
p.s. I'm not set on the new blog name. I'm open to feedback/suggestions! I thought about the "Caldwell Connection" but I couldn't get the image of Kermit singing about rainbows out of my mind...
Hey, nothing wrong with Kermit. Actually I am quite fond of the little green guy. It's not easy you know....

You make me laugh :). I like Caldwell Connection but if you do name it that I will think of Kermit everytime I check your blog out but that's okay, there's nothing wrong with Kermit. I'm excited that you have a new blog. Cute picture!

Try blurb.com for transferring your blog to a book. I love it!! Plus, the prices are decent.
